Art in the Foyer - Sonya Lethbridge

Sonya Lethbridge has recently graduated as an Artistic Therapist from the Kairos School of Artistic Therapy, under the guidance of Margaret Mary Farr.

Artistic Therapy is a creative exploration of the colours we experience in nature.  Through combinations of nature’s colours we can bring a person back into balance.

In the Foyer are a sample of her illustrations from her final year project  ‘A study of the colour Green - The balance between light and the dark’ based on observing the seasonal cycle in her garden.  “Working with green has been a remarkable and rewarding experience of growth for me and I am looking forward to sharing these learnings”.

Sonya is currently developing her practice as an Artistic Therapist and runs a Beginners Art Course at Taruna College.

If you feel inspired, please email her at slethbridge@xtra.co.nz for Artistic Therapy .

For Beginners Art classes starting on 7th May go to www.taruna.ac.nz , or 06 8777174.

“I look forward to being creative together”.

Sonya

Dear Members and Friends
of the Hawke’s Bay Branch

Here is a link to a worthwhile preparation for discussion at the coming AGM –

On the power and function of the Branch Group as a foundation to all our anthroposophical work, Class, Sections and Initiatives – 18 Letters to the Members, given from 20th January to 10th August 1924 are most helpful:

Providing a hub for the active exchange in the study of anthroposophy, for participation of all Branch members on a weekly basis and an opportunity for furthering our human skills for the future – are described in the inspiring cycle:

Astrid Pook.

*****

Annual General Meeting:
Saturday 13 April at 2 pm.  That is  3 weeks away.

Now is the time to be asking yourself if you are prepared to volunteer to join the Centre Committe that cares for the Rudolf Steiner Centre, or more importantly, to be an Event organiser.

John Jackson organises seasonal Festivals, but at present we have no Event Organisers - a small group of people who are prepared to plan, organise and arrange a varied schedule of events from concerts to talks to displays in the Centre.

The life of the society thrives when members have opportunities to meet fellow members and friends.

If you have any questions, or topics you feel should be discussed at the AGM, please contact   chair@anthrohb.nz
